THE TOWER

You pulled The Tower…
This card and song will have some significance for you.

Goddamn Shame is desperate demand for answers, the barest ballad growing into a reverberant soundscape — crying for past love to hold us steady as we crack and for our old beliefs to resonate again. When we pull The Tower, the world as we know it is no more. Reality itself feels like it’s crumbling and we cannot get a toehold anywhere, trust anyone or anything, and we may even doubt our own mind and once-unshakably-held faith. If The Tower appears it is because the foundation of something on which we were built has slipped and brought the pillars of our identity down in ruins. This is not to say that we ourselves are ruined by any means — in fact, though the irrecoverable chaos leaves us feeling bereft, we also have an opportunity to see clearly what was weak and rebuild stronger, with a transformed outlook and deeper wisdom to know who we truly are.

“I don't care about god, don't believe in the stars, I don't see any angels. I just want your back in my arms. So does everything happen for a reason or is everything that's happened just a goddamn shame? Cause I don't know who I am without you…”
