Burning In Carolina is a testament to the urgency of dreams, the lengths to which we go to follow The Light that leads us to our destiny. The Magician card is a signal that we are ready to manifest, we have the alignment of inspiration and resources to bring forth our deepest desire. The Magician stands at his altar, surrounded by symbols of elemental energy: the wand (fire/spiritual), the cup (water/emotional), the star (earth/physical), and the sword (air/metal). He has mastery of the universal fabric — if he wants it, he can bring it forth. What we choose to do with our talent will say a lot about us. If we think we can short cut or manipulate with our new found control, we are not honoring our responsibility to be true to our highest selves. What do we choose to create when we have the power? Why? Do we create from our ego or from our soul? Are we hurting anyone in the process? Are we over confident or still listening? While it will appear like magic to the unaware, the commitment and concentration required in casting a spell or repeating mantra is essential to the strength of The Magician. We are required to know our hearts, be confident, take action, stay focused, and follow signs to fulfill our potential. When we open our hearts sparks of inspiration catch on a trail only we can map.
